King J and Prince D were on their way out for a bike ride and King J yelled for me to come out quickly. There was this huge moth on the front wheel of his bike



Found out it's an Emperor Gum Moth. It's at least 4" from wingtip to wingtip. I would have taken our own pictures but we need new batteries - argh. He seems like he's not feeling well, he's just been lying on our porch for a while. He moves if you touch him, so he is still alive, but he doesn't seem very strong. My theory is that he just came out of the cocoon recently. King J said he's going to keep it whether or not it lives.
