Connecticut!

Madagascar is one of Prince J's favorite movies. He always refers to movies by his favorite character, so it makes perfect sense when he asks for Madagascar by saying "I want Zebra!"

A couple of weeks ago, he was randomly picking up King J's phone and doing this:

My interpretation was that he was either saying "Hello? Come get the A'mo (Prince A). Hurry! I need to watch Zebra!" or "Hello? Give me to A'mo. Hurry! We need to watch Zebra!" The more he said it, the more it sounded like "Give me to A." It only slightly made sense, but it was sweet that he might care so much about his brother that he wanted to talk to him on the phone (while I am sitting next to J holding A, by the way) so they could watch Madagascar. It made sense in a 2 year old sort of way.

Alas, it was not so. Poor A is unloved by his brother after all, or at least there was no intention of sharing Zebra.

Want to know the truth? I had sudden inspiration Saturday night and my instincts proved to be right. Pulled up Madagascar on the computer and, voila:

Actually, the A'mo/Animal/Prince A thing makes me wonder if he's actually referring to A as 'Animal.' It would make perfect sense considering all the growling A does..
