Why, hello

No, I'm not dead. I feel like I should be, the way my muscles around my right lung feel right now, but I'm still here. As it's clearly been a while since I've updated, there's a lot of new things happening here.

For starters, we found out in January that our family is growing again.


I'm due in late September, but expecting an appearance in early September. We don't have insurance yet (counting down the days) so no doctor visits yet. You don't hear me complaining! I'm more than happy to put those off. We should be getting insurance at about the time I'll be getting set up for an ultrasound. I'm hoping for a girl (along with almost everyone that knows me) and King J is hoping for yet another boy.

D completed his requirements for Bear in cub scouts, so he'll be graduating to Webelos I in May. This is where they begin to do things that are more similar to what he'll get to do in Boy Scouts. The Blue & Gold banquet/ Father Son Cake Bake is next Saturday, so expect some pictures soon.

Soccer season is starting for both D and J! I got J his own ball and shin guards yesterday. He calls his shinguards shoe guards. "Yeah, these are my shoe guards!"

A is eager to learn and is already getting into letter and number recognition. He points out letters and numbers all the time. He was getting into some onion slices tonight (with a fork..), grabbed one out and showed it to me and told me it was "D." I looked, and it was indeed a D-shaped onion ring. His favorite number seems to be 8. I don't know why, it's just the one he always goes looking for. He likes to open up books (reading books, coloring books..) and moving his finger along the page like he is reading. I think he's going to be my big reader.
