I love looking 12

I got to the dr a little after 2:15. The nurse got my weight - 112 (probably a little off though) and my blood pressure (110 over 90 - higher than usual). She wrote down when my last period was and a while later my dr came in. She talked to me a little and made sure the notes she had written down were correct, then sent me downstairs to the lab for a pee test. I got out from the test and just barely had enough time to grab a magazine when the lab nurse called me back to get my paperwork. She had this little smirk on her face and told me to go back upstairs to the dr. On my way to the elevator I looked at the papers and the slip they put on top showing that they ran the test had Positive written next to the test type. I handed my papers to one of the receptionists and in a few minutes the nurse came back to get me. She gave me a little smile and asked if I was happy. The dr came in and talked with me about getting an appointment with an ob-gyn and referred me to Dr. Oglesbee. Because of my insurance, I have to have a referral so they told me to wait a few days before calling to make an appointment. The Dr. wrote out a prescription for prenatal vitamins. I don't think I'll get those yet, she said the ob-gyn will probably change the brand of them, and I'd rather only buy them once. So I'll wait to find out what the ob-gyn says. J HAS to go with me.. I have bad memories of going to ob-gyns and I am NOT going alone. Suddenly she gave me this look and asked if I was married. I love looking 12. Then she remembered to tell me when I'm supposed to be due. Going by my last period, the chart she had said my due date should be August First, and I'm about 9 and a half weeks. Thankfully I'm almost finished with the first trimester (when most miscarriages happen) and the 2nd trimester starts at 13 and a half weeks.

I told Amy on Monday and Trisha today. Both were more excited about it than I expected. I'm not sure who's going to spread it faster, my parents or Amy. Trisha wants to be there with me when I tell Kim (our lead) and suggested getting Kim's opinion on how to let John (our supervisor) know.

I can tell the baby's getting bigger. It's still not big enough for other people to be able to tell, but it's gotten harder for me to tighten my lower abs. I've already got 2 pairs of pants that are uncomfortably tight to wear. Trisha suggested getting some scrubs pants and wearing tshirts with them. I already plan to wear hippie skirts during the summer. I'd like to get some scrubs (or something) soon. One of the reasons I don't use my gym membership much is because they don't allow you to wear jeans while working out, and almost all I have is jeans. I've got my Old Navy Khaki's on now, and I'll probably wear those to go walking at All American tonight. but when I get some more comfortable pants I'll be more likely to go. I need to start walking every day after work.
