The living room looks like a tornado hit it. My sister-in-law Leslie gave us a bag of her kids' old baby toys (one which I think was actually originally Dakota's) and Josiah's thrilled to death. Mostly with the play phone he got, now he can leave mine alone!
He's learning all kinds of things.. like standing on one toy to play with another. I married into a family of monkeys!
He's learned to clap (when he wants to), wave (when he wants to), turns the light switch off, he learned sometime back where to find the peekablocks in his incrediblock but now he's learning how to put the blocks through the holes, he loves shaking his head 'no.'
He loves things that spin, the wind, talking/singing, blowing raspberries, and he thinks practicing standing is a really funny game - he won't even try to keep his balance, he likes to fall over and be caught! He loves any kind of food you give him, except green beans. He won't even try them anymore: he used to put up with a couple of bites before he'd start crying, but now he just spits them out immediately and won't accept any more bites. He demands to eat every time he sees someone else eating. He loves walking along with someone, and adores Dakota. He yells if anyone goes in a room and shuts the door and doesn't let him in.
Today I took Dakota for a haircut, and I'm about to go pick up books at TCC for my summer classes starting next week (ick), drop off my transcript and fill out financial info at NSU because I lost the paper they sent me. This evening my dad is supposed to take Josiah's 10 month pictures, after he gets off work. I need to not slack and get things like this done before the end of the month.
Tomorrow Dakota goes to April.
Thursday I have my next dr appointment, then I am supposed to go to Wendy's apartment. Her mom is bringing up the bridesmaid dresses, so I think this is another fitting. I'm hoping I don't grow too quickly, since I am 3 weeks farther than originally thought. I'm sure I'll be able to fit through the wedding, but I was counting on wearing it to my brother's (and Valerie, of course) wedding also! I guess I need to start perusing Old Navy and JcPenney online to keep backup plans in mind.
Friday, nothing planned.
Saturday is when we are all supposed to hang out - I called Amy to remind her yesterday and she said she'd talk to people today. She told me to call her if she didn't call me, but I got a voicemail, so I dont know if things are still going or not. Ah well. When we talked she said she still wants to do my baby shower, so that's planned for August sometime. She may have said the date, but I'm not sure, she was wanting to do it when her brother and sister-in-law would be in the country so her sister-in-law could come - she made sure that was fine with me and I'm cool with it. Plus, if we have Dakota that weekend, it would give him someone to play with.
I'm actually feeling the baby kick more often now. I think it is usually facing inwards, so most of the movement isn't felt.
