It's been an exciting month. First Poison Control then the ER.
Prince J and I took a shower this morning, and then he sat on the toilet while I dried off. He didn't do anything while he was sitting there, but he was sitting. I was in a hurry to get out of the house so I could take Prince A's pictures at the park and pretend they were his 9 month pictures, although he's actually 10 months today. So I pulled Prince J off the toilet by his wrist. He walked to the bathroom door with me but started throwing a fit when I tried to get him out of the bathroom. So he was going limp and trying to pull his arm back while I was pulling him through the door. Then his wrist popped and he started freaking out and crying. I thought it might have gotten dislocated, King J thought it might be broken. He wouldn't use that hand at all. he would try and then stop and cry like it was really hurting him. He wouldn't hold his cheese in that hand - he took it out of his right hand and ate with his left - and wouldn't hold his sippy. He wouldn't even try to drink if we were holding the cup because he was so upset. So we went to the ER. 4 hours and some x-rays later, the dr determined that it wasn't a break. He thought maybe a sprain or a pinched nerve, but couldn't determine anything specific because Prince J isn't verbal enough to talk about it. And then Prince J started acting perfectly fine and was using his arm like there had never been a problem.
We went home for a few minutes and then went by King J's sister's new house, then took the kids to King J's mom's house so we could go by the JBF sale and try to buy this really nice looking hardwood dresser that was priced for $20. Awesome deal. But we got there 3 hours later than we intended and it was sold when we got there. Still got some good things, though, and I've already got a bunch of other things to put in the Broken Arrow sale.
