The biopsy seemed to go well. The dr said they got a good specimen. It took two hours to get him calmed down to eat, after we were allowed to go back and see him! He went in at 11 and wouldn't eat until after 2. We are being discharged for the weekend and we are coming back in Monday morning to see how his levels are doing. The idea is that if they did go ahead and start steroids today, A) the biopsy results wouldn't be back yet, B) They wouldn't know if the IVIG or prednisone raised his levels. So they're giving us the weekend at home to keep an eye on him and hopefully his levels will increase more over the weekend so we can avoid the prednisone! His levels this AM were at 7,000. Funny that we're being released for the numbers that got us here in the first place! But I'll take a 4,000 increase when yesterday's increase was only 1,000!
